You can take your test at one of our official test centres on paper or on a computer. Some of our IELTS test centres are delivering the IELTS Speaking test via video calls. For more information see Academic or General Training section of our website.
You can also take IELTS Online (IELTS Academic only) from the comfort of your home or any private space with a stable internet connection.
To register, all you need is a valid identification document and a bank card (if you want to pay online).

What does the fee include? Our IELTS test fee includes exclusive preparation materials, free practice tests and much more.
What you need to book
- A valid identification document (passport or EU/EEA country issued national ID card). It must be valid at the time of booking and on the test day when we need to take a photo of it. IELTS is not recommended for anyone under 16.
- A bank card. You can pay through our online booking system. If you need us to issue an invoice to pay for the exam, please contact us in advance and wait with the payment until we issue the invoice.
After you have booked your test
You will receive emails confirming:
- the start time of your test and the venue address
- your Speaking Test date
- your access to the free online preparation platform IELTS Ready Premium.
