The majority of the results will be released four weeks after the date of the written exam. Results from computer-based exams might released even sooner.

Candidates now have direct access to their results via the Online Results Service. The access details are  provided on your Confirmation of entry (exam invitation sent by email prior to the exam). If you register on this website before the results of your exam are released, you will be informed by email once they are online.

For more information on how to read your results see the Understanding your Statement of results tab below.

If you pass your exam, you will receive a certificate approximately two months after your exam day (by registered post or in person - please let us know on the day of your exam). If you registered through a preparation centre or language school, your certificate will be sent to the preparation centre/language school.

All unclaimed certificates will be disposed of 24 months from the date they were released. You can apply for a replacement certificate (Certifying Statement) online or through our office (please note that we charge an extra administration fee).

Young Learners results

There is no pass or fail for the test. Your child can get a maximum of five shields for each part of the test (maximum 15 shields for the whole exam). The number of shields they are awarded for each part will be shown on their certificate. They will receive their certificate about five weeks after taking the test.

Extended certification

From March 2011 Cambridge English has introduced Extended Certification, which is aimed at giving many candidates additional credit for the language skills they have demonstrated in a Cambridge English examination. It also aims to help universities, employers and other organisations get a clearer picture of how candidates' results relate to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR).

For further information please visit the Cambridge Assessment English website, choose your exam and preview sample certificates.
