The programme aims to strengthen social cohesion, promoting co-creation in and between different groups. Activities will develop the infrastructure and skills to support engagement of communities. They will also bring communities into a conversation with the UK, building the exchange of ideas and best practice long-term.
An initial pilot is running from November 2018 to 31 March 2019, establishing a proof of concept under three key themes:
- Social Development
- Community Arts
- Schools and Core Skills
British Council is seeking organisations with a demonstrable track record in the field of Community Arts, who can support delivery for the initial phase.
